NCERT Solutions for CBSE Class 9 - 12

The National Council for Educational Research and Training has prepared solutions to the various levels of the Common Entrance Test (CET) administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). These are available free of cost from the NCTE website.

The Common Entrance Test is a national level test that is administered to all high school students appearing for the SSC-CET. The SSC stands for the Secondary School Certificate. The test is used to determine eligibility for higher studies and to establish entrance standards for several institutions of higher learning across the country.

The purpose of the test is to evaluate the educational needs of students so that they can be suitably prepared for higher studies. The test has three parts – a paper-based test followed by two objective type tests – The MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) test and the Data Interpretation test. The test is available in both English and Hindi.

The paper-based test is meant to be a screening test and the students who qualify for the test are then supposed to appear for the objective type tests. However, very few students take the paper-based test seriously and opt to skip it. This makes the objective types of the test more critical.

NCERT e Books are the official digital versions of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) textbooks, published by the Government of India. They are available in PDF format and can be accessed through the NCERT website or the MyGov app. These e-books cover all levels of education, from primary school to college, and include textbooks, guides and study material. They are available in English, Hindi and other regional languages.
